Community Orchard
In a significant step towards sustainability and community involvement, the Purley Sustainability Group is moving forward with the creation of a community orchard on the land allocated to them. This orchard will not only provide fresh, local produce but also serve as a green space for education and relaxation.
The journey has only just begun, so check in regularly for updates.
An initial survey was carried out in February 2024, with some photos below.

The next stage is a more detailed specialist survey on the ground and the soil to access the species of trees to plant that align to the environment.
